David Ferrer defeats Alexandr Dolgopolov
No struggle for the 2012 champion David Ferrer who beats Alexandr Dolgopolov 6-2 6-2 in just an hour!
Jérémy Chardy defeats Lucas Pouille
Chardy struggled with his serve in the first set and rallied from a set and a break down to get past Lucas Pouille 3-6 6-3 6-2.
Stan Wawrinka defeats Bernard Tomic
Wawrinka is back in Paris for the first time since his victory at Roland Garros last June. The Swiss is trying to become the first player to win the Roland Garros and the Paris Masters in the same year since Andre Agassi in 1999.
Wawrinka broke Tomic’s serve in the first game to lead 3-0 and win the first set 6-3. But Tomic fought back in the second set and even failed to convert two sets point with Wawrinka on serve. He then led 5-2 in the tiebreak but lost in straight sets 3-6 6-7.
Inglot/Lindstedt defeat Nadal/Paes
A routine win for Dominic Inglot and Robert Lindstedt who dispatched Nadal/Paes 6-3 6-4. More pics and videos here. Nadal will face Lukas Rosol in singles tomorrow.
