2011 French Open Day 14 recap
I was at Roland Garros today, not for the womens final because I didn’t manage to get tickets (by the way, congrats to Na Li for her historic victory) but for the Trophée des Légendes.
But first, on Court 7 today, an exhibition between Jim Courier, Andre Agassi, Mansour Bahrami and young players of the Longines Future Tennis Aces tournament.
Next on Court Suzanne Lenglen, the over 45 match between Cash/McNamara – McEnroe/Gomez.
McEnroe’s biggest fan: his father.
After McEnroe/Gomez victory, the return of two former number one to Roland Garros: Martina Hingis and Lindsay Davenport against Sandrine Testud and Andrea Temesvari.
Testud confessed after the match she has met Temesvari a few days ago for the first time in 15 years!
Watching tennis is so tiring:
Third Legends match: Fabrice Santoro/Todd Woodbridge vs Sergi Bruguera/Richard Krajicek
Last match on Court Suzanne Lenglen (and the most entertaining one): Emilio Sanchez/Ilie Nastase vs Mansour Bahrami/Mark Woodforde
Standing ovation for Ilie Nastase who was playing his last match at Roland Garros:
Mansour, tennis greatest entertainer:
