Edberg 86 Strawberries and Cream

Last month, adidas Originals announced that they would be reissuing Stefan Edberg’s tennis sneaker

Footpatrol has partnered with adidas Originals to pay tribute to two-time Wimbledon champion Stefan Edberg.

Using the Stefan Edberg tennis shoe, first released in 1986, the “Strawberries and Cream” is a nod to the traditional Wimbledon desert.
The Edberg features a strawberry red suede upper, tonal Three Stripes branding, and a cream midsole with a matching terry cloth lining. There’s also Footpatrol branding on the tongue tab, heel, and inserts.

Wimbledon Centre Court

Another great day at the All England Club with upsets (Azarenka, Pennetta, Ferrer), 5-sets marathons and some great tennis. Thanks to douglasmcfarlaneuk, enjoy some great pictures from day 3 at Wimbledon:

Li Na vs Yvonne Meusberger

She spent only one hour and 9 minutes on the court to defeat Meusberger, but Li Na‘s playing level was all be convincing. Do you think she can win the title?

David Ferrer vs Andrey Kuznetsov

Huge surprise on court 2: David Ferrer made it to the quarterfinals of his last 10 Grand Slam events prior to Wimbledon but was beaten in five sets by 22-year old Andrey Kuznetsov on Wednesday. A disappointing season so far for the 2013 French Open finalist.

Evian x RIZZLE KICKS

Evian has created a music video by the hip-hop duo Rizzle Kicks featuring Maria Sharapova, as the centrepiece of a new Wimbledon-themed marketing campaign:

Do you like it? What do you think of the video?

Rufus the hawk

Last month, Stella Artois announced that it would be the official beer sponsor of Wimbledon up until 2018 and to make the announcement they’ve been releasing short videos featuring ‘Perfectionists’.

The first video features pigeon-scaring hawk Rufus. Hats off to the Stella Artois marketing department, this advert is simply stunning:

The second video of the series features Liam Nolan and Nate Ferguson, the fastests tennis racket stringers:

Grigor Dimitrov, Wimbledon 2014

Queen’s champion Grigor Dimitrov continues his good form on grass as he gets past Luke Saville in straight sets 6-2 6-3 6-4 . The 11th seed appears as a serious contender for the title.

40 years ago, Chris Evert and her then-fiancé Jimmy Connors both won their first title at SW19, do you think Sharapova and Dimitrov will win this year?
