Andy Murray was crowned king of Queen’s Club for the third time as the world number two roared back to defeat defending champion Marin Cilic 5-7, 7-5, 6-3 in Sunday’s final. Murray donated his £75,000 prize money to the Rally Against Cancer charity for the Royal Marsden hospital.

The 26-year-old’s third successful Queen’s campaign in five years, following previous victories in 2009 and 2011, took his career haul of ATP Tour titles to 27 and ended his wait for a first tournament win since the Miami Masters in March. Murray will complete his preparations for Wimbledon by appearing in the Hurlingham Classic exhibition tournament this week.

Jerzy Janowicz

Jerzy Janowicz is having the week of his life.

The unknown Polish qualifier, who ended 2011 ranked 221 and is now 69, beat 5 top 20 players: Philipp Kohlschreiber (19), Marin Cilic (15), Andy Murray (3), Janko Tipsarevic (9) and Gilles Simon (20) to reach the first ATP tournament final of his career.

For the title, Janowicz will square off against fourth seed David Ferrer who defeated wild card Michael Llodra in semis.

Schedule nonsense at Bercy on Day 2: on Court Central (14 500 seats): Chardy, Mathieu and Llodra. On court 1 (300 seats): Dimitrov, Melzer, Cilic, Dolgopolov, Querrey and Verdasco. So as you guessed it, I spent most of the afternoon on Court 1.

Grigor Dimitrov vs Jurgen Melzer

The first match on Court 1: “Baby Fed” Dimitrov against 2010 French Open semifinalist Jurgen Melzer.
Both players had a disappointing season: Melzer’s ranking fell from 8 in 2011 to 30 this year and Dimitrov is around the top 50.
