In the third game of the match, Courier runs into trouble on his serve: the game goes to 6 deuces, before Edberg breaks. From then on, it’s a perfect display of serve and volley tennis, and Edberg captures his first US Open title with a 6-2 6-4 6-0 masterpiece victory. Well, I must admit it: I have not seen any match of these ATP World Tour Finals. I guess the season is too long for the players but also for the tennis fans!

So, here are just a few thoughts about the last tournament of the year:
– how can one be the so-called “best ever” and be 8-14 against its biggest rival? That’s for you Federer.
– how can one have such a behaviour and receive the Stefan Edberg Sportmanship award? Poor Stefan. Yep this one is for you Nadal.
– it’s a pity for you, Novak, you’re an awesome player, but you acted so many times as an injured player that nobody believes you anymore, even when it’s true.
– when will someone finally have the guts to disqualify both Nadal and Djokovic for the 10 miunutes they take between each point?
– and finally Andy, did you really think you would play like Lendl by wearing his shirt?

Next week end, while every french tennis fan will be focus on Belgrade for the Davis Cup final, I will be in London for the Aegon Masters Tennis, a seniors tennis tournament with Tim Henman, Goran Ivanisevic, Pat Cash, Pat Rafter.. So, lots of photos and videos to come!
