4 facts about Serena‘s much talked-about catsuit:
– the original design was blue.
– it was intended to be a power suit (meant to help her recover).
– when Serena received the first sample, the waist sash was red — it was supposed to be black. But she loved it and made sure it remained part of the final design.
– it took two years to take the suit from ideation to the court this week.

Rafael Nadal wears NikeCourt AeroReact Rafa top, Flex Ace shorts and Air Zoom Cage 3 footwear as he competes for his 11th title in Paris. The designers chose bold blue that contrasts with the orange clay.
“As a design team, we wanted Rafa to feel powerful on the clay, and the flooded color really helps that because it’s overwhelming; it makes him look like a force of nature,” says Abby Swancutt, Apparel Design Director for NikeCourt.
The NikeCourt Paris Tennis collection is available now on nike.com and at select retailers.

Kei Nishikori came back after a 5-month injury hiatus and started his 2018 season by playing challenger tour events. He’s had quite a few good results since then on the main tour with a semifinal in New York, a final in the Monte Carlo Masters, and wins over Dimitrov, Cilic and Zverev.
He will try to match his best result in Roland Garros (quarterfinals in 2015 and 2017) wearing a similar outfit to the one he wore last year in Paris, but in a different color range. The shirt is available in two colors: white and pink.
It seems Kei’s outfit is only available for sale in Japan.
