Richard Gasquet, Roland Garros 2019

Playing just his fourth tournament since undergoing groin surgery, Richard Gasquet defeated Mischa Zverev in straight sets to advance to the second round. His next opponent is Argentinian player Juan Ignacio Londero.

” I have only been replaying in tournaments for three weeks. I’m very happy. Although I’m not at my best level I’m happy to have won this match and I want to enjoy it.”

On the court Richard is sporting Le Coq Sportif from head to toe: he used to wear asics shoes as the French brand only produces streetwear shoes but they made a pair specially for him; they are indeed working on a collection for the general public that will be inspired by this model.

As always a clean and elegant outfit by Le Coq Sportif:

Rafael Nadal will start his quest for a 12th Roland Garros tomorrow against qualifier Yannick Hanfmann. To honor his prior 11 titles, Nike has unveiled a limited edition of the Cage 3 Glove dubbed “What The” Rafa that Nadal will be wearing during the games.

Nadal Roland Garros 2019 shoes

Visual details from each of the shoes Rafa Nadal wore in his past triumphs are incorporated into the volt glow/white colorway. A zipper shroud, nodding back to the Nike Air Zoom Flight, prevents clay from lodging into the shoe and the laces.

Rafa’s winning shoes in Paris:
• 2006: Nike Air Max Breathe III
• 2007: Nike Air Max Breathe Cage
• 2008: Nike Air Max Breathe Cage II
• 2010: Nike Air Max CourtBallistec 2.3
• 2011: Nike Air Max CourtBallistec 3.3
• 2012, 2013, 2014: Nike Air Max Court Ballistec 4.3
