Roger Federer

By winning his first Paris Bercy title, Federer became the only player to reach the final of all 9 Masters events.
The win also made him the second player, after Andre Agassi, to take titles at both Roland Garros and the Paris Bercy Masters.

Novak Djokovic

Suffering with an ailing shoulder, Djokovic withdrew against future runner-up Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the quarterfinals.

John Isner

Isner beat Wawrinka, Kunitsyn, Lopez and Ferrer on his way to the semifinals, where he held three match points before losing to Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.

Andy Murray

After wins over Jérémy Chardy and Andy Roddick, Andy Murray was taken out in a three-set, three-hour quarter-final epic by Tomas Berdych, winner in 2005.

Andy Roddick

A win over Benneteau and 2-6 2-6 loss to Murray for Roddick. This loss ended Roddick‘s 2011 season, which left him out of the Top 10, after being there for nine consecutive years.

What do you think, will Federer retain his title this year?

Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal will renew their rivalry in the Italian Open final Sunday — exactly a week before the French Open starts.

In Saturday’s semi-finals at the Foro Italico, Federer held off a stiff challenge from rising Frenchman Benoit Paire 7-6 (5), 6-4, and six-time Rome champion Nadal defeated sixth-seeded Tomas Berdych 6-2, 6-4 — a day after Berdych rallied to beat top-ranked Novak Djokovic.

It will mark Nadal’s eighth consecutive final since his return earlier this year from a seven-month layoff due to a left knee injury. As for Federer, who recently returned from a seven-week break from the circuit, it will be his first final of the year.
