3 days at Roland Garros: Rafa, Andy, Petra and more

Day 1

Already a lot of people around the grounds when I enter the stadium. To the program today experienced players like Sara Errani, Heather Watson and Bethanie Mattek-Sands, but also young guns like Françoise Abanda and Stefanos Tsitsipas. I'm not really excited by the order of play, and I'm going to court Suzanne Lenglen to watch practice sessions.

Day 2

About 40 minutes to queue, pass the security checks and enter the stadium today. I catch a glimpse of a few matches: Richèl Hogenkamp is outplaying Heather Watson on court 6, Sara Errani sent Nicole Gibbs home on court 14, while Copil and Gojowczyk are battling on on court 17. I go back to court Lenglen to watch Petra Kvitova at practice. Nice to see you again Petra!

Day 3

Today is Roland Garros Kids' day, the traditional charity event on the eve of the tournament. All of the profits going to the "Fête Le Mur" and "Tennis en Liberté" associations as well as to tennis clubs which carry out educational, social and integration projects. To the program: the Battles of champions on Court Chatrier, where different teams of champions take part in various sporting challenges; exhibition matches with top players, practice sessions, entertainment for kids: face-painters, jugglers...
