2012 French Open day 3 recap part 2
After Dulko/Suarez win and Sam Stosur‘s practice session, I made my way to Court 15 for Maria Kirilenko and Flavia Pennetta practice session:
Then I go to Court 17 for the first round match between Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova and Greta Arn:
Not a really convincing win for the 19 year old Russian, but only the victory counts: 6-4 6-4 for Pavlyuchenkova.
I head to a packed Court 16 for the doubles match between Ekaterina Makarova/Elena Vesnina and Julia Goerges/Sam Stosur. A couple of spectacular points by Sam Stosur but too many errors for Julia “gorgeous” Goerges. 6-4 6-2 for the solid russian pair.
More pics of Goerges and Stosur here.
And to end up my second day at Roland Garros I caught a few games of two doubles matches: Janette Husarova/Christina McHale against Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova/Lucie Safarova
and Liga Dekmeijere/Tamarine Tanasugarn against Sloane Stephens/Yanina Wickmayer:
